Awesome work! :) Have you covered it with something?
It is looked not good after glued bark and painted it..... :(
This is picture before glued bark .
And I made a small one by bamboo core, pig leg sinew.

The blend, or transition from bending limb to siyahs seems very subtle and graceful. It looks like a very stable yet powerful design.
Hi huan wei, welcome here,
Great done bow!
Would you tell us its measurements?
The little one looks great too.

Huan; Very nice accomplishments. Welcome to our forum.
Have you seen actual prototypes? Museums are perfect places to see the originals.
This bow is like a reconstructed bow of the 20th century done by Tibetians and other minorities of China. They take apart Qing bows and re assemble them to use for archery contests. In doing so they often cut down the siyahs and the reflex will be much reduced from long use.
This is just my observation. You have made two excellent bows. Jack.

Yes, I had seen some actual prototypes of Qing Bows.
This bow is sure be like a Qing bow that cut down the siyahs .
Because I referred to the picture of Tibetan bow (QingHai bow)to build it.
I like the curve of the Tibetan bow (short siyahs).

HuanWei; In that case you might also like Buryat bows, found in Outer Mongolia and Buryat Republic.
These have similar shape but different construction. -j-
