questions for the korean archery history 1636-1900
i hear about in some time about qing dynasty government not allow the korean and Mongolia made there bows by themself, i'm try search this time korean archery and bowyer info but a few got, some questions:
1,during this time korean real stop archery and bow makeing and why they are appear in about 1900 cross about 300 year?
2, who are first bowyer that his korean hornbow first appear?has any recording about this?
3,there are a recording here but i am not know what about it , korean made hornbows for qing government or there are a korean army named 南汉军korean made hornbow for their army ?

The Qing has prohibited Koreans from building new mountain fortresses for some decades after the Korean-Manchurian War at 1636, but didn't forbid making bows.
However while Qing didn't forbid manufacturing bows, the empire did seem to have restricted the amount of buffalo horns exported to Korea. Indeed, during the 17~19th century Koreans had much difficulty making enough bows with buffalo horn that most of their bows had to use indigenous cattle horns which were much shorter. This is the bow you've mentioned in the thread: 交子弓.
As for the numerous types of other Korean bows you've mentioned, I'm afraid that there are very few references on that matter.
However while Qing didn't forbid manufacturing bows, the empire did seem to have restricted the amount of buffalo horns exported to Korea. Indeed, during the 17~19th century Koreans had much difficulty making enough bows with buffalo horn that most of their bows had to use indigenous cattle horns which were much shorter. This is the bow you've mentioned in the thread: 交子弓.
