Gaoxiang; Welcome to our forum. Those are beautiful bows and I can tell you have been making them for some time. I especially enjoy the decorations.
The web site is also interesting. Good luck and stay in touch. Jack

Good looking bow.
I was so certain that this is the Qing kind of oversized (150 +) bow based on the 1st picture. It was not. I even went to look at it again, because i was so sure that the drawn bow in the picture was not the same one.
The pictures can be so deceiving.
Can you give us some numbers? Thicknes of the core, horn and sinew layer and thicknes of sinew. Length of handle, bending limb. V-splice and the after V. Width of the bow in those places?
You have sanded the sinew?

Nice looking bows Gao. Like Jack says - especialy decoration.I am little sceptical about eficienci 50-60 lb hornbows .
Jose ,you forgot about Yokhua ?
Jose ,you forgot about Yokhua ?
Yokhua is from Taiwan .
My English is very bad. I live in China, making love bow angle. Use of bamboo, buffalo horn, Cattle tendons do bow. This is the Tartar bow, length 120 cm, 96 cm length of bamboo core, bow shoots 12 cm long, angular thickness of 4 mm, bamboo core thickness of 3 mm thickness of 3 mm bars. This is the first time I made up my work because I had just become a member, I have a lot of work.jkekoni wrote:

Ken , people living in Taiwan are stil Chines.../ Its no about politic/
Well, I meant Continental China. Yokhua and Wencheh are top bowyers but I think both live in Taiwan.
Different dialects, different writing styles (traditional), but people from Taiwan like to be called "chinese".
Gaoxiang, I am delighted to see your excellent bow. You are a great inspiration to the archery community in China, and it has encouraged me to see you take up this important work.
