Zurawiejki Horsearchery meeting
Hi all,
I see it is not here yet, so I would like to give a bit information about Zurawiejki, the horseback archers meeting in Poland on 3-6 June. The website: http://www.lucznictwokonne.pl/zurawiejk ... index.html
It is one of the nice horseback archery events in Europe, the difference is that it is not a competition but a ?gathering? of horseback archers. This way you shoot much more arrows than on competition, until you or the horses get tired. It also brings experienced and novice horseback archers together who can share their experience. I can recommend it to pretty much everyone, even if you havent done hba before, a wooden horse and calm horses await absolute beginners.
Besides a Korean and Hungarian style track a kabak pole was erected about 8m high which was a lot of fun, you will see it in the pictures.
Another point that I liked very much is that a famous Polish swordmaster came and gave lessons on two days. We took the opportunity to practice with soft swords on horseback:

Of course it was very interesting for me as a Turk as the 16th cc cavalry of the Ottoman Empire and the Poles were very similar. We had loads to talk about, not only archery but also other battle gear and weapons like swords, saddles, reigns, stirrups, lasso, lances, shields etc.
I would like to thank the Polish team once again.
