Knot question

Hi!

I?m building a nettle bowstring. String diameter is about 4-5mm. The bow will prob. have around 60# and will be 62? long. One end of the string will have a flemish twist. My other bowstrings usually have a bowyers knot at the other end. For various reasons, I don?t want to use this knot with the nettle string.

I?m hesitating between the knot presented by Bede in this thread: http://atarn.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p ... loop#13551

and the Scaffold knot: http://knots-guide.blogspot.com/2008/04 ... -knot.html

More than ever, the tension should be distributed utmost evenly within the loop and the bends forming the knot. I just build the two knots with a simple string and I can?t help thinking that Bedes knot presents more bends and would thus be more risky than the Scaffold knot (for nettle of course).

My question is, what would you think about it?

And: Any objection against the Scaffold knot (sliding knot !)?

Thanks!

Question is obsolete. Just did a trial. The Scaffold Knot does not work.
