I'd like to start a list of bowyers/companies that everyone has bought from and whether you would recommend other archers to buy from them based on the quality of your bow & buying experience.

I'm hoping this post will make it a bit easier for those interested in Asian traditional archery to make better buying decisions.

I'll start:

Kaya Korean Traditional Bow (KTB) from 3 Rivers Archery - ($269.99) shipped price (USA), ($284.94)
- Still waiting on delivery so final verdict on the bow itself will be updated after I receive it.
- 3 Rivers Archery shipped the bow the day after ordering so, so far so good.

Here's me -

1) Hwarang by Thomas D, around 60# @ 32 inches (maybe a little more)
- extremely fast bow, and not difficult to string (can be strung by just myself)
- weather resistant
- looks nice
- Thomas was very helpful when ordering and I got it very quickly too

2) Grozer's Old Scythian Base, around 65#@32
- fast bow, mechanically quite similar to a Korean one with a few differences. Although this is my slowest bow ...
- inexpensive and durable
- stacks very slightly in last few cm of draw
- Bought it in store from a third party seller, but Grozer has been very helpful for any problems

3) Grozer Nomad G5 Hungarian, perhaps 75#@32
- well finished, fast, durable, and surprisingly no hand shock
- very smooth, no apparent end point to the draw
- bought from 3rd party (hunarcher on ebay), came very promptly with 3 free arrows and didn't have to pay for bank transfer as he accepts Paypal

4) Grozer TRH Mughal (discontinued), around 85#@32
- I love this bow. It shoots arrows straight through my target before they break on rocks behind!
- has a lovely force draw curve (estimated by feel), no stack, no handshocki at all
- this one I bought directly from Grozer. It was sent quickly. He doesn't have Paypal so there is a ?20 bank transfer fee as well.

I know there are a lot more of you out there that have a lot of experience with different bows and bowyers. Please take a moment to share your experiences! It will help those of us who are just getting started to make an educated and bespoke purchase.

Thanks in advanced,

Just go to the back posts and not so long ago we had pages of discussion on this topic.
