defining terms for japanese bows
I'm looking for a definition or clarification for a couple of terms. These are terms used in Chinese to describe a couple styles of Japanese bow.
In particular, what is a "和弓"? (I guess it is a yumi with a natural bamboo finish?) And what is a "弓胎弓"? (Does this refer to a bow with a lacquered finish?)

Please, could you romanize these terms?
I'm not sure what they are in Japanese, but they are "he gong" and "gong tai gong" respectively in Chinese.Jos?Dom wrote:

Sorry, I thought that was Japanese. Doing an internet search, looks like the first term refers to "take-yumi", the standard bamboo yumi. The second would be "shigeto-yumi", that is the rattan wrapped urushi laquered yumi. It?s just my guess.
