It is more like an arrow tube (箭筒) than a quiver. Maybe you can make a lid to protect the fletching like the old 箭筒。
yes,very good idea,but i guess finally weight will be 2-3 kg more,it is heavier on back when people walk with it on back,but with horse archery it is good,2-3 kg for a horse is nothing feeling.Stephen Selby wrote:

thank you for your very good idea.if i have time,i will do some 箭筒。but also big problems is expensive shipping cost,minimum 50-60$/pc just for express cost for 1 pcs.so,only sea shipping can be deal such arrow tube.so,i feel it is for personal use,not for deal,i fi have enough time,i will a lot of such similar bamboo arrow tube for handcraft gift,buti need to improve the quality inside and outside
