I have not tried those, but I have the G5 Old Hungarian. It is smooth, fast, and has no handshock. The only problem is I am now a little wary of drawing past 30 inches, as I hear a croaking/rubbing sound everytime I do. The bow doesn't appear to have been damaged, and its been drawn back to 32 about 100 - 200 times, not sure what the sound is.

There was a Bashkir up on Ebay a little while back, the seller said that it was smooth and fast. I believe it was the same guy as in your second video (at least, he linked me to that one). Personally I prefer the finish on the G5.

It might be the string loops. I have had odd sounds from them until I made new strings with shorter loops.
Uli
yes its the string loops - put some wax on it and there is no sound any more :-)

There was a very trusting cat in one of those videos. It was totally disinterested in everything going on.

" Grozer Avar - 60# " !!!!
.....And then he proceeds to draw the bow to 20#, if that.

Have you folks notice the arrow speed difference between the 70# and 80# Bashkir. Granted the two shooters may have different draw length and different arrow specifications, but the 70# seems to have more zip or oommphhhh than the 80# one.

Suppose the both shooters have the same draw length, arrows specs and shooting method, would the speed difference accounted by the heavier material used in the 80# bashkir? For example, the Kassai Bear 110# got bad reviews from Youtube users due to the disappointing speed versus the Grozer Bashkir 80#.
