Steel bow identification

Hi guys

an archer friend of mine bought a steel bow in the east of Turkey, pictures attached.
We were wondering about the origin of the bow. The seller insisted it was an Ottoman bow but I am skeptical to what sellers say..
It doesnt look like the typical Indian/Persian steel bows.
Specs:
98cm total length, width 3,5cm, thickness of limbs 0,2cm

Maybe you can share your thoughts about the possible origin and period of manufacture. Maybe the design of the decoration will give us some hints?
thanks

This is a typical reproduction bow coming out of India, you can buy these at the many indian craft stores in india and also over the internet.I would not even string it let alone shoot it.

Probably modern work; but it belongs to a real tradition of steel work, possibly from the Hyderabad (Bidri) region. Here is one in my collection. You did not mention whether the two limbs screw together with a very accurately-made screw fitting in the centre of the grip. Does it?

Stephen,

I am not sure if the limbs screw, if it is foldable or not. I only got the pictures myself.
But it doesnt matter I would say, as PJ informed me as well, that it is modern work as you can find e.g. here:

I was thinking the same but didnt want to influence people's opinions beforehand. Now I have to explain the guy... at least he got a flight arrow with it, which is not fake..

Stephen, that is the typical type which I have seen e.g. in the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

Thank you
