Siyah nocks

I've been asked to make some recurve bows which look something like a generic asiatic composite, ie: angled siyahs, string bridges, back mounted handle, for a man who sells medieval re-enactment equipment.

One thing I hadn't really thought about was the nocks on the siyahs. The bows will only be low weight; 30lb @ 28". If I cut nocks into the back side of the siyah without reinforcement, will the siyah pull apart? Sould O reinforce them with bone? (horn is nigh on impossible due to cost) Will binding them do the job?

This queery seems remedial I know, but I don't want these bows to break on some unsuspecting customer.

Cheers,

I don't know what wood you'd be using for the siyahs; but I don't think that at 30# you'd need any reinforcement on the nock.
