Hi Guys!

I want to start putting my own arrows together and I wanted to know if there is any advice on this already on the forum, especially the attaching the fletching aspect of the process. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

there are fletching tools you can buy, or build one on your own.
I do it without this tool. I start with the first flight on the side near the knock and gluing just a little part (1 cm), than I let it dry. The same will fallow with the other two flights, but the others i glue at the same time, so its possible to check the angle between all flights. Than again let it dry.
Now all flights are glued in possition, than start again with the first and finish the hole glueing of it. So fallowing this take the other two and glue them parallel and correct there positions so that all flights got the same distance from each other.
With this method you can easily twist your filights, that the arrow will spinn when shooting it. But you have to be carefull to not bend a flight too unnaturaly, as it will open its segments and getting ugly ;-)

It?s just my advice to you, maybe other do it in a different way, but i hope it helps you little.

Greetings!

Ruben
