Arrow making for heads that require hafting and splicing

Hello all,

My arrow making has been restricted mainly to taking wooden dowels and self knocking them with horn inserts plus wrapping the fletching with threading and using either glue on or screw on heads.

I would like to know more about the Asian traditions of arrow making particularly how to best haft tanged arrow heads but am not sure of how to do this using wooden dowels. I tried searching through the forums to get a better sense of this process but I usually just find finished products. So is there a good source out there that acts as a build along for this process that someone can recommend? I know the Korean method is clearly illustrated on a website but this involves the use of bamboo shafts and am really interested in learning more about what can be done with wooden shafts as well as how to splice them with other woods. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Matt
