Horn warbow
Hi Everyone,
As the username suggests i'm Ian, I recognize a few names here from other forums. For those that don't know me I normally shoot English Warbows.
I am looking at making a horn warbow, I have done some research but i'm just a passionate beginner at the minute. I have a few questions about what to aim for mainly on the construction side of things.
Firstly I see most of the designs use splices to join handles and syhas would overlapping joins hold well enough.
And is there a specific style of horn bow that most suits the higher draw weights and stresses evolved.
And from your experience of buying horn what length is need to give me the thickness to play with to gain the draw weight.

I would recommend buying Adam's book on construction and design. Has all the dimensions you'll need.
I've got it, I just want to be careful I get thing right from the start. My questions are really answered in his book.
Perhaps my questions are a bit simple, I have spend a little while looking over this forum, loads of really good info. I will start making the bow and see how it goes.
