wooden core groove
Dear all,
These pictures:
http://arcasi-arcuri-sageti.forumgratui ... l-judetean
seem to show a quite sturdy ottoman/tatar war bow.
What draws attention is a central groove exposed on the belly side of the wooden core where the horn delaminated, obviously because of faulty reverse bending the bow. It looks like it was filled up with glue (?).
also note the non-matching groovings.
anybody has an explantation or seen this before ?
