Pics of arrows
I need your help and your documentation skills...
I'm looking for detailed images of turkish and japanese arrows. I'm specially interested by nocks and fletching. If you have some pics about this, TIA for your help.

Gianrico,
I posted some Turkish ones a while ago in a discussion forum.

I made a search but was not able to find them. I only find some good images of kyudo arrows, but not turkish.

This is a Japanese arrow made around 1820-1830. The point is signed, but I can't make it out. Length of the shaft is 83cm. Diam. of shaft is 8mm. Length of point is 5 cm. Fletching is 14 cm long and 14mm max depth.Gianrico wrote:

As regards the fletching on my last posting, I have a bit of doubt whether it was authentic. I would prefer that you refer to this, which is an authentic feather detached from another arrow of the same period.

Stephen,
Thanks a lot for the pics. I'm trying to made another protoype of arrows, based on feedback of shooting my first arrow (fletching was too long for the bracing of my bow, so I reduced it at 12 cm.) and following the indications that Jack Farrel kindly give me (for inserting nocks etc.).
I'm working on pine shaft with goose feathers, just to improve technics, and the nock is inspired from bone nocks of some kyudo arrows. I'm in a painting/decoration step, I will post pics of the finished arrow since it's done.
For the binding of points: what it is made of? Is it like leather lacing, other material or it is just a decoration (red/black)?
Thanks again,
Best regards
Gianrico
