Slow gelling glue?

Has anyone here has found a good source of slow gelling fish bladder glue?

I have made some from bladders, but even though it is an enjoyable process, I feel it was so time consuming that I hesitate to use much of the home-made glue for tasks other than glueing the horn to the core. If there was more of an abundance of bladder glue, or any other good substitute of slow gelling strong glue, I would use it a lot more.

I did find this, which is Cod skin glue. It's liquid at above 5-10 degrees Celcius.

I really wonder if this glue, mixed with regular fast gelling hide glue so that the mixture stayed liquid for just a few minutes would be strong enough for glueing the horn to the core.

Kviljo,
you can try add some salt to glue, it well make the glue slow gelling, if add too much salt, it only can gelling in icebox,it is the salt in glue one function ,the other is when glue geling the salt make the glue geling very strong,

the vitriol also ban the glue gel and shfink and other function i dont know or forget

or make you room very warm more than 35℃

the one kind of oil +salt+vitriol is a formula for glue i got form a Italy member many years ago , but the oil is Modern science and technology product, if use Modern technology, lots can help glue very greet for the function we want,

the formula of glue is top secret of bowyer, it up the original glue too much, but not secret of tradition Violin makers and carpenter, for sure the formalin is very help but i am not want use it or only once

PAZUZU can probably supply you with first class air bladders
(as you may know?)

Adding salt or urea to protein based glue will weaken glue strength a bit. :(

i am not find add salk will weaken glue, maybe i only add a few not try add more salk, or i use iodine salk

the urea i test it for soak bamboo and birch, bamboo out layer turn very hard, the bamboo inner turn very soft, i can use spoon cut it , and birch turn soft and very easy break many layers, note ceresin wax inside the urea

I do have some sinew glue but I have no problem with geling as Thailand is very hot and humid.
Urea and salt effect is what I heard from carpenter 's forum. And it is scientificly sound as urea is a strong protein denaturant and ionic strength caused by salt will prevent protein-protein interaction.
The effect of salt might be smaller (compared with urea's) in term of glue strnegth and might be difficult to be measured.
If I prepare slow gelling glue, I will choose salt. :D
