Nylon strings?
My modern Chinese bows came w "Nylon", not Dacron, strings.
Anybody know anything about this string material? How the strength per strand, stretch, creep compares to Dacron and the other newer stuff?
18 strands is about as thick as 12 strands of Dacron. Feels more like the newer stuff; doesn't have the "give" of Dacron, first hundred shots w new string and no stretch.
BTW, how do/did traditional materials (tendon, linen, silk, hemp?) compare to Dacron as far as stretch and creep?

It seems unlikely to actually be nylon. Maybe something is being lost in translation if the bow and components was actually labelled in China?
My thoughts exactly. Real nylon stretches like taffy. Almost as bad as polypropalene!
