Modern bow design relationship with the Ottoman bows

Nowadays,modern bows are so advanced that they look like an alien weapon from an another planet.
We can give an example such as classic olympic recurve bow with its interesting rod,sight,etc.extensions like a radio station antenna or a lightning..,fishing rod?,firstly.I've been making a joke of course but these were humors for among olympic archer friends :)..................
