Dear friends,

Could you please kindly advice me on the case:

Does anybody complete a typology\classification of thumb rings ? from the earliest China examples up the modern Korean ones?

Any references, articles or anything else?

Respectfully,
Bede
Dr Grayson and I started a classification based on archaeologically identified rings. Since then I have done further work on rings in art work and literature. Send me a private message and I will send you what I have. New material is coming up all the time. Some old opinions are hard to verify. I am still looking for someone who has archaeologically verified Avar rings in Hungary.

Great project, Bede
I am looking forward to your results :)

Sorry for the delays. Things have been complicated over the last few weeks and I haven't been able to search for the material I was going to show you. I am getting back on track now so I hope to have something useful soon.
