Doubts about brace height

Hi,

I've bought a mongolian bow (50" 50#@28") and the brace height isn't specified on the bow. A have othe 2 bows where this information is writen on them. The bow and the string are new.

I asked to the person who sold me the bow and he said that the brace height (BH) is 7 3/4.

To reach this BH I had to twist the string lots of times - actually it's overtwisted for sure, as it starts to roll around itself when not on tension.

Is there any method to estimate the BH on a mongolian bow? On my notes (i have a lot of them) for recurves (not composite) if you divide the size of the bow by 8 it gives an aprox. BH, and that works on my bows,

Thanks and I really apreciate your attention

Did the string come with the bow?
Does the bow have string bridges? (new mongol or old mongol?) How are you measuring brace height? Is it that bow on the atarn facebook group that had the very low brace height? I recommended tying knots with some sort of smooth cordage in between to make them easier to release and minimize damage on the string, maybe look up stopper knots that are really hard to jam/easy to untighten as well.

If it's an endless loop string you should try to keep it from twisting...
