Water buffalo horn
I have begun gathering materials for my bow building project and have a question for the bowyers here. Have you guys ever used the water buffalo strips from stmmrr1968 on ebay?

If so what is the quality like, did it work out fine, etc...?
Thanks!
Allen

I've bought arrow shafts from him and apart from the marked spines being miles off they were good quality.
I haven't bought horn off him though so can't comment on the quality of it. I personally would ask for lots of photos of the actual horns he will be sending.

The horns work ok for turkish bows. It's also convenient to have less dirty work. If you want to build larger bows, you need to wait until he has some ready. 55-60cm are np to get, but can be short or not wide enough at the grip. His larger horns give more leeway in every aspect.
Mikekeswick: I hear you about the bamboo shafts I also purchased 50 from a seller on eBay and the spine was not even close. I am sticking with wood for now.
By?rn Sofeit: thanks a bunch I'll go a head and get some, I'll keep everyone posted in the build
