I have some real nice white hard maple lumber that I would like to make into bow cores. Since I cannot get thick bamboo, I would like to use maple. Is this wood capable of handling the tip touching reflex drawing back to parallel limbs?

Thanks,

For military purpose bow, our ancestors used the mullberry core.

Nowaday, laminate bow makers in Korea using the maple core.
