Hi friends
I need your help. I have just bought fish glue from a turkish firm. But there is no aknowledgement in the pocket of glue. As you see all knowledge is ıtalish and I dont know any word of ıtalish. I couldnt understand that ıs this material really fish glue, and how to prepare ıt for horn and wood. I called the firm but nobody know how ıt use on a bow. Because customers of this firm use it for repairing musical ınstruments.
Now is this glue reall fish and how can I prepare ıt for horn, wood and snew. Please help me. Thanks.

Arsilan, I don't thing this is flish glue.
Reading the package etiquette it seems to be simply
a fish gel just for food usage; i.e. to prepare marmelades
and similars (precisely the etiquette says for wine).

hi, amatuccio is right, this is definitely no fish glue.

But it is true, you can use it as a glue for "soft" glueing-jobs, not for a hornbow.

thanks for your reply. İs it possible mixing hide glue and fish jel for hornbow. I read something about this topic. Because hide glue that ı used was very hard (breakable)and horn left to wood during tillering last time. Then ı decided to buy fish glue for mixing with hide glue.

This type of gelatin is used both in pastry (when you make jelly like sweets) and in illumination (when painting with real gold on paper or leather as a water based medium). There must be many other areas where this glue is used, but it is rather weak in comparison to either hide glue or the fish one.
