Hello everyone and especially to Thomas,

I am travelling to Kezhou Is (I am not sure if the spelling is correct, but the large island in souther tip of Korea, between Japan). Its there any archery thing that is interesting and worth to have a look? Also, is there any shop selling Korean horn bow there?

Very best regards to Thomas and all of you.

Hi! :D

Maybe are you referring to Cheju (Jeju) Island (济洲岛)? If so, yes there are archery clubs there.

Also, take a look at their excellent horses. Tradition (probably exhaggerated) has it that they are the descendants of Chinggis Khan's ill-fated invasion of Japan.

Thanks to Thomas and Stephen,

Yes, Jeju is the Island I am visiting tomorrow, sorry for the spelling.

Is there any shop selling Korean traditional archery equipment there in Jeju? I really hope to bring back to Beijing a traditinal Korean bow.

Best regards to all of you.

I don't think any place there sells trad equipment. The best you could do would be to find a club and buy from them; however, they would have to order the bow from the mainland, and that takes time.

Thanks Thomas,

I am back from Jeju island already, the water is crystal and the view is absolutely beautiful over there. I would hope if I can stay there a bit longer.

Thank you very much again for your suggestion, even if there is a shop selling traditional korean archery equipment there, I wouldn't have time to visit the shop. Next time when I visit Souel (I definitely will, as I am falling in love with Korea now) I will invite you for a dinner so I can learn more about korea archery and korea generally from you.

Best regards,
