I was looking at some Grozier bows on line.

Has anyone ever dealt with him? I don't mind thae wait for the building of a bow but I would like to know if anyone has purchased from him and how difficult it was if it was.

He's just fine to deal with: no problems at all, even ordering custom stuff.
Bede
I also found him easy to deal with and the shipping to Australia was reasonably fast and cheap.
Tamr The Nomad
Thanx y'all.

His stuff is beautiful.

I just got his new laminated Assyrian.
Gorgeous.
The only "problem" can be the waiting time. Grozer is an honest and concerned craftsman, when I have heard people mention that a bow failed (very rarely), they always added that Mr Grozer was swift and reasonable in delivering replacement.
This is my third Grozer bow and the fifth one in our family... says it all.

I can confirm all the above comments. I ordered a matching pair of Huns for me and my wife and they are a beautiful credit to his craftmanship. There is a fair wait (but I guess we are too used to the 'now' culture) but the end product is well worth it. Answers to any questions and advice is only an Email away. Only negative I can think of is the transfer payment method, Card would be so much easier.

It is several weeks i got Csaba Grozers Hunnish extra III bow. I must say, its not only very nice piece of work, but excellent performer as well. The draw is smooth, and i didnt feel any serious handshock.
Waiting time was absolutely proper to the type of bow - hornbow, it means some months. If i will decide go to the some other bow, i will look for the Grozers work again.

I've noticed that the prices on the hungarian site are much cheaper than the ones on the english. Does anyone know why? Is it possible to pay the cheaper price in forint instead, maybe if you pretend you're hungarian  ?
Russ Mitchell
No.

It's because of Hungary's "banking" system, government export regs, and the country's ridiculous amount of taxation. The paperwork and b.s. involved in doing any kind of export radically increases the prices, and most Hungarians who aren't in Budapest will be priced right out of the market if prices get too high.

Now, Szabi or others could refine that for you, but I looked at import/export work via Hungary, and the paperwork and taxes involved were a sheer nightmare. So I buy bows in person when I go over, and just put them in my packed luggage.

Ok, to get this clear, the prices on the hungarian site is what Gr?zer earns and the rest goes to the government. So it would be cheaper to visit him in person and pay only some 100000 forint for a composite bow(at least for me who lives in Sweden).
Szabi Nagy
Hej Simon,
Well probably. His Hungarian prices are without VAT (25% if I'm right, I can't follow the changes in tax rules here). Once there was a dealer of his bows (traditional archery Scandinavia), but I can't find its website. Actually, I started learning archery in Sweden, when I was a postdoc there. If I ever get the chance to return, I'll be happy to bring you a bow from Grozer...
Best, Szabi
p.s. there was an archery shop in Gamla Stan, Stockholm - when I was there it was closed but I think I saw some hungarian-style bows through the window.
greg.krankurs
You spoke of archery dealer in Scandinavia, did you mean Reiner?
sbartels
the dealer in finland is reiner w?stefeld.
he has revamped his website, which is now to be found here:

http://www.eastern-archery.com/

I can recommend him, a very nice person and reliable dealer. Will keep aou updated if something is delayed etc. (sometimes Hungarian artisans seem to have a different concept of "deadlines") LOL
greg.krankurs
I will second that comment,
Reiner is simply wonderful to deal with.

Hi
Best place to buy Grozer bow is simply Grozer shop at www.grozerarchery.com , on the left side lowest button named STOCK where you can see pictures of every bow for sale so no problem with color and other details.
Best Regards

anyone got the new laminated scythian yet? i like the look of it!
Jason DuLac
Haven't shot the Scythian yet, but it looks great! Graceful lines. Those pics leave me with the impression that Grozer makes a quality bow.
