Some pictures of this beautiful bow ...
It comes from a private collection.
It is 41 " long, 14mm thick in the limbs.
I have measured the width and thickness every 5 cm.
It is perfectly symmetrical and with accurate dimensions.
Looking at the ears it seems this bow has not been used much if at all.
(The paint at the nock string at the ears is still there like new)
I would like to know how old it can be and what kind of bow it is ?
I would like to know if this shape of the ears is a particular feature that would characterise its time and place of manufacture ?
What about its decoration ?
Thanks for your comments.

Jiao, these porcelain pieces from the Ming Dynasty were probably influenced by Turkish taste, because so much Ming porcelain we made for export to Turkey. (Or were the Turks influenced by Chinese taste?)

The designs were also popular from the Tang dynasty, when there was also a lot of Turkish-Chinese contact.

Nice specimen. I would think it is a tirkesh (war) bow, leather covered. 17th c. sounds about right. The shape of tips is typical and the most common among Ottoman bows.

the influenced is each others, in history of ming Dynasty , Turkish send the Mauser as tribute to ming Dynasty(before year 1524)(鲁密是古代西域的一个小国,位于今小亚细亚地区。

i am guess in year before or later 1524, the bows lost his important status in war days by days. awane

who know more clue(thread, example of history) how the chinese and tukish influenced each others(about hornbow and archery), hehe so far a way the china between turkish

Thank you Adam !
Here is the width(mm) fonction of the length (cm) and the thickness (mm)fonction of the length (cm).
Length : 0 cm is the center of the bow.
The correlation and comparison of the two curves is interesting and shows the accuracy of the work.

A well made and powerful bow. I think it may be around 130-140lb @ 28".
