Archery-related in Teheran?

I will be at Teheran for ~3 weeks at begin of June (business travel, no holidays). Now I'm looking for interesting things, related to hornbows (or archery) there.

I would be glad if someone can give me some hints at Teheran or in a "reacheabe" distance.

Thanks in advance,
Axel

Sorry that I can't come up with specific names; but please contact Iran's national archery team, bacause I heard that the National Coach is interested in traditional archery and has some books/old bows.

Keep us posted.

Thanks Stephen for your info. Do you have a contact address (email would be best)?

Let me have a question (actually I do not remember whether this subject has been discussed on the pages of the old ATARN):

Did the Sassanides use any finger protective measures for their two finger release? If yes, what?

Thanks in advance,
Jeno

From the evidence of the silver plates, I think they used a tab covering the two middle fingers. I made one with a strap that crossed over itself on the back of the hand and fastened at the wrist. It was easy to use and it did not get in the way or become misaligned.
