The 2007 WTAF was by all accounts a success. Now, the preparations for the 2008 WTAF have begun.

I heard from Mr. Won from the WTAF and they would like to invite archers from African countries for the next festival. Personally, I know people from a few of those countries, but none who are archers. Anyone else?

Most of all, Thank you Pro. Thomas for such a kind Topic!

Yes, he is right as being said.
As a frank with, we know that the best issue will be 'Beijing Olympic' next year, but we though that our continous festival also is important for all of us to keep popular and promoting actually, so we have been organizing next festival since the end of WTAF 2007.

Sincerely, we wish you to keep being interested in WTAF 2008.

Thank you all guys and Pro. Blue Lake, Thomas again~!

Mr. Won.

Hi there,

I'm just wondering whether or not some one could tell me when and where the 2008 WTAF will be?

Thanks

Andrew

As far as I know, it will again be in Cheonan, South Korea. I still don't know the exact time, but probably in May like this past year.

I just heard from Mr. Won; as he is a member here, maybe he will also respond.

He said the dates for the 2008 WTAF are Sep 26-Oct 2 and it will be held in Busan. That, of course, is quite a change from May in Cheonan, but one that I am personally happy about, as it will give me time to work with a university team I am putting together, and the location is very near here.

Ooo. September... I think I'll be done with my schooling... Hmmm... And, of course, I'll need a way to reward myself for all my hard work in completing my degree over the last several years... Hmmm.... And I'll be getting a substantial pay raise...Hmm...

Is there any chance of a more serious academic conference this time around? I think that both Col. Kim and myself are hoping for something that is more meaty and does not conflict with other events.
Thomas Duvernay
No idea, Stephen--I only received word on the date and city from Mr. Won.

Here is some new information from WTAF:

"2008WTAF will be held between September 26th through October 2nd in Busan; second largest city in Korea which I think it soon after Beijing Olympic. We are currently working on preparing agenda and expect to complete this process by February. we will contact you as soon as formal document of agenda is ready for distribution. We are currently expecting about 27-30 countries to attend this event. "
