This is the bowyer who made this bow. Lucas, the best horn bowyer on earth today...
In order to varify this bow,I call him on the phone and he told me this is not a Magyar bow.. Instead this is a type of horn bow date back 800 years ago, Chinese "Yuan" bow. He copy it from a piece of anitque.
And here is the picture of Lukas pulling this bow.
Thanks

Sorry for question .this bow is secret ?For me its super bow picture and thank you Jiao ! (+ i am happy , because Lukas is from late Czechoslovakia , like me.)
Great bow! Are any close-up pictures available?
I also have one of these bows. It's great to shoot but hard to maintain. Because it is built with minimum materials, it takes a long time and some expertise to get it stable for shooting.
What you mean Mr. Selby "built with minimum materials " ? :?:
I think he means it is light(mass) and the working limbs as quite narrow(at least they look so in the picture). These facts make the bow unstable.
I agree, this bow "suffers" from the great amount of unused mass it has to carry. But the big levers are necessary for to make the bow shootable.
Not at all my favourite design.

When are you goin to show you bow colection mr. Selby?
Instead of letters you could review your bows on atarn main page.

What I mean is that the bowyer valued reducing weight over other considerations. He expects the archer to overcome stability issues with good technique.Dusan wrote:

Excess weight slows bows down. On the other hand, adding width to the limbs increases both weight and stability. and that helps to stop the bow from coming unstrung in the hands of less experienced archers.
