Bending the bow for the first time
I started bending the bow I am building tonight, and near one of the siyah the sinew started pulling up. It is still held down at the siyah joint, which is wrapped in sinew.
I bent the bow from the knee joints, one inch at the time, about an inch every half an hour to an hour, I went through this 4 or 5 times.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should do? Is this something that I can, or need to fix?
I tried attaching a picture of the bows overall bend when the situation was noticed, and a picture of the separation, but couldn't get it to work.

You may need a pair of frames to bend the bow for the first time. When doing the bending job,you need to heat the limb slightly.

Alright, thanks for the information. What does heating the limbs do? Does it prevent the glue in the sinew from cracking? Or does it just overall allow the bow to bend more easily?

The latter.
