Any One Near Me?

Hi I am interested in making a bow or bows but I don't think it's right to try and do it from pictures on the interned. I don't really have a lot of experience with shop stuff, in fact I recall being permanently kicked out of shop class in high school for fighting. Anyhow 15 years later I want to make my own bow.

Is there anyone near Boston that has experience making Horn Bows?

How about near Davenport, IA, I might go to school there.
