Does anyone have any information about the bows from this legendary bowshop? Is it possible to get these shipped to US? Any info at all?
Stephen Selby
Our exprience is that the shipping and documentation costs almost as much as the bows themselves because they are quite long. The best plan is to get a friend who is travelling through Beijing to pick it up.

thanks, but i was more interested in a horn-wood-sinew compound than a glass bow.
rwelch
He sells the horn bows too ,it's mentioned toward the bottom of the page ,under the header "support the old craft" .
I ordered one from him ,should get it in March.

Email him for more info. [email protected]

Searching in net i found this http://juyuanhao.chinayigou.com/ if you can translate... maybe you buy chines composite bow .

Something looks wrong about this site. I am not sure that it is directly connected with Ju Yuan Hao. I'll try to find out.

Aargh! Is he serious about looking for an apprentice? Now I'm tempted to improve my Chinese just for that reason....

+++ +++ +++
50 First Lane, Beijing Huaxia Folk-Custom Cultural Park
Gaobeidian, Chaoyang District
Beijing, China

In Chinese (maybe these words will be showed in confusion code)

Hello Everyone,
Mr Yang gave me a telephone call on April 5, 2009, and he said that Juyuanhao workshop will moving to new address as list in 2 days:
+++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++
20, North Yaoyuan Village, Taihu Town,
Tongzhou District
Beijing, China
+++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++
北京市通州区台胡镇
北姚园村20号
聚元号弓箭铺
+++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++
May these will help one who wants to pick up Chinese traditional bow and arrows in Beijing. Maybe you can print one copy of the address with you and show them to the Beijing TAXI driver.
By the way, if you can NOT read Chinese words clearly or the Chinese words displayed in confusion code, you can do as follows:
1) search chinese fonts through net, find the chinese fonts file which named as "simsun.ttc"
2) copy "simsun.ttc" and paste into your system at "c:\windows\fonts"
3) refresh the webpage and now you can read the Chinese words or Chinese characters clearly
:D
